Fedora Linux
Fedora is a free and open-source Linux distribution sponsored by Red Hat and developed by the Fedora Project community. It emphasizes cutting-edge software, with new releases approximately every six months that include the latest stable versions of the GNOME desktop environment (by default), the Linux kernel, and other components.
Fedora serves as an upstream testing ground for technologies later incorporated into Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). It is available in multiple editions, including Workstation (for general desktop use), Server, and spins with alternative desktop environments like KDE Plasma or XFCE. The distribution prioritizes software freedom, adhering strictly to free and open-source licensing.
